Wedding Season’s Best Dressed Guest
Love is in the air and the kickoff to wedding season is here! Though I’m not attending any myself, I have received several requests from all of you for a roundup of wedding looks for various occasions. From backyard soirées, to black tie required, and everything in between, one of these looks is certain to fit the requested dress code. Let’s start with the pre-wedding festivities:
First up, this yellow, eyelet mini from Self Portrait is perfect for a bridal shower — whether you’re a guest or the glowing bride herself, this dress is sure to make a statement. I paired it with my mint Manolo’s (similar pair linked here) and this mint mini Jacquemus for a monochromatic look. In my experience, Self Portrait sizing is a bit wonky so I tend to size up! Wearing a size 6 here.
Sticking on the mini theme, this ruffled frock from RHODE would be adorable for a rehearsal dinner — flirty and fun with a hint of sexy. Tall girls be warned, they don’t call it a mini for nothin’ so I’d recommend Spanx underneath. And what mini would be complete without 4-inch heels? These raffia platforms have become a spring/summer fave of mine. Then, top it all off with a punch of purple with a fun clutch like this one from Cult Gaia. Other than the warning on length, dress is TTS.
Everyone is crushing on orange this season, including me. I love this ruffle midi from WAYF — perfect for a more casual event or pre-wedding festivities and at a fab price. On the higher end, this orange silk midi with the twist top detailing would look stunning at a beach destination wedding. I further elevated the look with with these orange earrings and gold details including Chase’s prom purse. Both dresses fit TTS!
Speaking of warm wedding destinations, Farm Rio is always knocks i out of the park. This one-shoulder, floral maxi is lightweight, festive, and bump-friendly for all you moms-to-be! Styled mine with a sleek pony and this hair accessory that has been a fave of mine as of late. Dress is oversized so I think you could get away with your standard size or a size down.
If a garden or vineyard is more the vibe, this Saloni dress is perfection. The vintage-inspired print combined with the puff sleeve and cutouts gives it a timeless yet modern and feminine vibe. Paired with my tried and true raffia pumps and a lucite clutch, this is sure to be a spring favorite.
Here are my picks for a more formal cocktail or black-tie event. First up, another win from Self Portrait (remember to size up) — I love the modern feel the grid lace gives this piece. Paired with black scrappy heels and a statement clutch and you’re sure to turn heads. And what wedding roundup would be complete with a classic black gown. This gown from Cinq a Sept is just that with a twist of subtle sexiness…not to mention you feel like a million bucks in it. Fits TTS and hugs in all the right places. Again, pair with your favorite black heels and a pair of statement earrings…only person you won’t outshine is the bride!
Well there you have it, gang!! I hope these looks spark some inspiration for all your upcoming special events!
