Fall Forecast
So we're gonna switch things up here just a smidge today. I'm in the process of transitioning my closet to slowly start incorporating some of my fall goodies---surprisingly been a tad chilly in the mornings here. With that in mind, I wanted to share the key fall pieces I think are worth pulling the trigger. Each of these items I've had in my closet for AT LEAST two years (except for my OTK's but you best believe these babies will carry me thru several falls & winters) and will continue to bust them out this season...and next I have no doubts. Simply stated, worth the investment. Classics every closet should contain. Staples you'll wear season over season. Therefore, let's break it down, shall we?
The Blanket Scarf. I mean unless you've been living under a rock, we know how snuggy, warm, and completely on trend the blanket scarf is. These babies tend to sell out quickly once the temps dip, so be sure to snag yours soon!
OTK Boots. It took me two seasons to finally pull the trigger on these bad boys, but man am I so glad I did. They're just sharp. They're incredibly well made. And they'll be in my arsenal for seasons to come. These OTK's are a hot commodity once fall rolls around so it's a good time to invest now. If not in the market for a splurge, these are a great STEAL option.
Booties. Again, worth the investment. Worn for two seasons in a row. Pair beautifully with jeans, dresses, you name it. In love--simply stated.
Leather Jackets. While it can be real, it doesn't need to be. I've had my drapey "leather" one pictured above for three years and it still looks impeccable. I'm kinda obsessing over this SUEDE, too...may need to make 'er mine!
Oxfords. Ok, y'all know I love a tomboy vibe and these babies deliver just that. I snagged these at a Zara in NYC two years ago and I still wear them on the regs in the fall and winter....they're such a fun twist to an otherwise feminine look. These Loeffler Randall's are just perfection, don't ya think?
Chunky Sweaters. I think this is a good place to spend a smidge more than usual. Nothing crazy...but maybe opt for a Sweater that is upwards of $100 so you know it'll last you several seasons....these last two pics I've had for two years and are still in mint condition...and I wear them to D E A T H. I've got this CREAM CASHMERE en route to my casa as we speak.
Alright, gang, I plan to also chat up new fall purchases I've made coming up here soon...I've got my eye on this SKIRT--how perfect is that color? I'll be sure to do an updated Fall Forecast post once I've got all my goodies for the season. Heading up to South Bend to shoot with Meagan today---kinda looking forward to it as I've never been. May take a spin by Notre Dame while I'm at it! Y'all have a wonderful Thursday--make it a great one!
