A Summer on Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket

For a girl that grew up on the water, I’ll never shy away from a trip that involves the coast. I feel

most at home when near the ocean and have always wanted to visit both Martha’s Vineyard

and Nantucket. And let me just say, they’re both as picturesque as you’d imagine. We

decided to bring the fam to MV after our annual Chappool party and before we sent Chase off

to college in an effort to squeeze every ounce of family time in before school started. And

goodness am I so glad we did! This was S U C H a wonderful family trip…one that I would

most definitely recommend! If you’ve got MV on your bucket list, I cannot say enough

wonderful things about The Winnetu. It came as no surprise The Winnetu was voted New

England’s #1 Hotel…..the beach is just a stone’s throw away, the pool, the food (THOSE

OVERNIGHT OATS), the endless family friendly amenities, the boatload of charm, the killer

KIDS CLUB, the Firetruck rides….and the list just goes on. It was the perfect getaway for our

family of 5 with something for each and every one of us. Calvin was a big fan of the Kid’s

Club…with activities that rivaled some of his fave summer camps, the girls, of course, spent

their days sunning at the beach and strolling thru darling Edgartown spending their parent’s

money, and Johnny and I did a little bit of all of the above….we even managed to sneak in a

little date night to The Atria with our friends Liz & Brian and some cocktails at The Pelican Club.

It truly was S U C H a memorable trip…one that we definitely intend to repeat. A special thank

you to Tim, our concierge, for creating a magical family friendly itinerary….he totally knocked it

out of the park! Friendly reminder, my code BETH will allow for a discount when booking any

of the fabulous Little Gem Resorts. If you’d like a play by play of our trip, see the itinerary

below OR check out my MV Highlight on Insta.

And now onto the oh so dreamy, Nantucket…or ACK as you’ll quickly realize once stepping

foot onto the island. We opted to make this visit a couples trip with our dear friends Keith and

Liz. Here’s how I’ll sum up Nantucket—normally at the end of any trip, Johnny and I are ready

to head home…..as we were doing our final lap to The Juice Bar the day of our departure, we

both said, “We’re just not ready to head home quite yet!” I blame the endless charm of the

island, the ridiculously delicious food, the fabulous shopping, the locals, the walkability, and of

course, the wonderful hospitality c/o The Nantucket Hotel. Nestled right in the heart of ACK,

you’re mere steps from A L L the things…..the beach, the food, the boats, the shops, the

picture perfect homes….you name it! The island is as picturesque as Elin Hilderbrand

describes…..a pure delight for your senses. And once again, the concierge teed up an

impeccable itinerary….Kate, we can’t thank you enough….and talk about a small world, Kate

and I discovered she knows my dad as he’s been visiting ACK and his bff for over 20 years—-

was meant to be! Same rules apply my friends, Little Gem Resorts have so graciously

extended code BETH for any 2024-25 bookings….and trust me when I say, they go quickly so

don’t sleep on your next magical visit…..we locked in our second trip to LOVANGO just last

week. I’m sharing our exact itinerary below—-only thing I’d change is adding more time!!! You

can also check out my ACK Highlight on insta…..clearly we had quite the trip….looking forward

to heading bACK.
