Your girl's had a good time in 2021. Like, a really...really....really G O O D gluttony filled time. It was a personal choice for me to take some time off being so regimented and just kinda do whatever struck my fancy....maybe I'd work out 4-5 times/week, maybe I wouldn't.....maybe I'd intermittent fast.....maybe I'd get two Starbucks chais before noon. Leading up to my 40th Bday meant some pretty specific personal goals mentally and physically....truth be told, I wanted to be in my best shape....and I'm happy to report I strolled into the next decade hitting said goals. But then I realized I just needed a B R E A K ....covid hit which meant Comfort Food galore and my work schedule was getting more robust by the second and while this is indeed an excuse, my workouts just weren't at the forefront of my priorities.....Family came first, then work, then if time permitted, I'd get my workouts in....and I kinda liked the switcheroo in my schedule. I liked the freedom I gave myself to not sweat the not sweating. It'd been a while since I didn't have guilt over not working out, but something has hit me with age and I'm very happy and at peace with where my mind and body are at....I feel confident and comfortable and most importantly H A P P Y.

B U T....there's always a B U T isn't there? I am also someone who loves to evolve and embraces challenges, goal setting, etc....and there's no better time than a NEW YEAR to do all of the above! If I'm being honest with myself....I've not been nourishing my body the best way I know how. And man is it more important than ever at this stage of my life to fill the body with whole foods, h2O, a good heart pump, etc...I don't know, maybe minimize the double stuff oreos to special occasions vs nightly routines.....call me crazy, eh? After voluntarily falling way off the wagon, I'm eager and ready to start...hell...maybe my 10th round of the FASTer Way. This is a program that has worked REALLY well for me in year's past....it pretty much became my lifestyle for 3+ years. And after a much needed hiatus, I'm race ready to jump back on board the FASTer Way train. I'm truly excited I have to say. I'm going to approach this round completely differently than past rounds --those rounds served their purpose and provided results I was hoping for no doubt but it was a balls to the wall kind of approach.....and this 2022 round I want to break a few bad habits, instill a lot of good ones, and just make healthier choices all the way around.....should my pants feel a little more comfy well that's just a nice little bonus. I'm truly approaching this round with a progress over perfection mindset.

A quick FASTer Way 411. Can I be honest? It's been so damn long since I've done a round, I kinda feel like a rookie myself! There's a new APP, there's WORKOUTS galore, there's TONS of support, MEAL PLANS, macro tracking, carb cycling, intermittent fasting.....a whole slew of healthy goodness for us to partake!! The next round starts January 3 so here's my plan of attack....I have zero intentions of changing my habits for the holidays...we're gonna go out with a big ole' B A N G (read CLOUDS, QUESO, WINE, OREOS, you friggin name it)....but rest assured, once 1/3/22 hits, I'm going to fully embrace the FASTer Way lifestyle and take y'all along with me!
